Dark circles under the eyes are a common problem that many people face, especially after a long night or a stressful day. They can make you look tired, older, and less attractive.
Well, I can’t help you get to the root cause of this, I can show you how to use Photoshop to pretend they don’t exist without losing any skin texture or making your eyes look unnatural.
THE STEPS
Step 1: Open your image in Photoshop and create a new layer by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the Layers panel or pressing Ctrl+Shift+N (Command+Shift+N on Mac). Name this layer “Dark Circles” and click OK.
Step 2: Select the Patch Tool from the Tools panel or press J on your keyboard. The Patch Tool allows you to select an area of your image and replace it with another area of similar texture and color. Make sure the Patch option is set to Normal in the Options bar at the top of the screen.
Step 3: Zoom in on your image by pressing Ctrl++ (Command++ on Mac) or using the Zoom Tool (Z). Draw a rough selection around one of the dark circles under the eye with the Patch Tool. Try to include only the dark area and avoid the eyelashes and the iris.
Step 4: Drag the selection to an area of skin that has a similar tone and texture as the area under the eye, but without any dark circles. You can use the spacebar to move your image around while dragging. Release the mouse button when you find a suitable area. Photoshop will automatically blend the selected area with the surrounding skin, making the dark circle disappear.
Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other eye. You can also use the same technique to remove any other blemishes or imperfections on your skin.
Step 6: If you want to fine-tune your results, you can adjust the opacity of the Dark Circles layer by using the slider at the top of the Layers panel or pressing the number keys on your keyboard. Lowering the opacity will make some of the original dark circles show through, creating a more natural look.
Step 7: Save your image by clicking on File > Save As or pressing Ctrl+Shift+S (Command+Shift+S on Mac). Choose a name and a format for your file and click Save.
Congratulations! You have successfully removed dark circles under eyes using Photoshop. You can now enjoy your refreshed and rejuvenated appearance, at least on Social media.
